Earth day events and workshops

Come celebrate earth day at one of New York’s most sustainable gardens! Earth day weekend will include medicinal workshops, bike repair workshops, composting workshops, and daily tours of la plaza sustainable garden including unique water recovery systems, hugelkultur, and our brand new solar pavilion. We will also have bicycle tours leading from la plaza community garden visiting other gardens and sustainable sites in the East Village. These free sustainable events will be led by La Plaza Community Garden and Times Up, an environmental organization that’s been making positive environmental change in the East Village for 35 years.
