Article about La Plaza gardener
La Plaza Cultural de Armando Perez Community Garden is a unique open-air theater and green space, combining the functions of a community garden, a park, and a play area, a wildlife refuge, and a performance venue. Thousands of people from diverse cultures use our space every year. We are a vital arena for theater, dance, music, art, and social gatherings. La Plaza is also utilized by local day-care centers, after-school programs, and a growing number of parents with small children who rely on us for environmental learning and recreation. Public hours are 10-7 PM Saturdays and Sundays, April 1- October 31, and when the gate is open and members are present.
